When can my child start nursery?

We welcome children as young as 6 months old, and care for children up until they begin Primary School.

Are you open year-round?

Little Mowgli Nursery is open for 51 weeks a year, closing only between Christmas and New Year. Contact the nursery for further details regarding term times and bank holidays.

How do I know what my child does at nursery?

At Little Mowgli, we use the Tapestry app to inform parents of children’s learning, meals and snacks eaten, naps and toileting. Parents also have the opportunity to chat with practitioners at collection time to find out about their child’s day. We pride ourselves on having very open and consistent communication with our families so that we can provide the best-quality care for your children.

What is included in the price?

Our nursery fees include all activities and resources the children use and participate in. For paid for places, all meals and snacks are also included.

Do you follow the Early Years Foundation Stage?

Yes. All of our activities, resources and opportunities offered to the children are informed and directed by the guidelines outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

How do I apply for government funding?

Visit www.beststartinlife.gov.uk/eligibility-checker/ to find out what funding you are eligible for and instructions for how to apply.

Do you offer funded places?

Yes. We accept all forms of government funding for children 9 months to 4 years old. You can use funded hours across 38 weeks of the year or more.

How do I apply for a nursery place?

You can use our enquiry form to book a tour of the nursery, enquire about availability and request an application form to add your child to our waiting list.
