By providing opportunities for children at Little Mowgli Nursery & Preschool, near Buckshaw village, to experience stimulating, engaging and exciting things, we support the all-round educational development of the children, and also aim to help meet the individual needs and interests of the children.

Welcome to Little Mowgli Nursery. We are passionate about providing a rich, stimulating and varied environment for children to blossom and thrive. Language, literacy, social skills and imagination are all fostered through play, exciting activities and experiences. Time outdoors, in all weathers, is an essential part of mental and physical health and well-being.
It also helps to build resilience, curiosity and a sense of wonder about the natural world. Nurturing each child's strengths and passions will provide a strong foundation for a happy and confident future.

Our Ethos at Little Mowgli Nursery
At Little Mowgli Nursery, we value the safety, happiness and learning of each child in a warm, caring home-from-home environment. A small community nursery just off the centre of Buckshaw village, specialising in giving each child the time, attention and care they need.
We at Little Mowgli Nursery see each of our children as unique individuals and help them to feel comfortable and at home as they explore and learn everything the nursery has to offer. Inspired by the magic of childhood and the wonders of the natural world, Little Mowgli Nursery encourages children to be inquisitive and creative and to foster a love of the great outdoors.
We have two small rooms, Tigers and Giraffes, and an ample outdoor space for the children to thrive, learn and grow in their own time. We value our relationships and community with each other, with the children, the parents and with the environment.
We offer high-quality learning experiences for children through a play-based curriculum, inspiring a sense of confidence, independence, and belonging. At Little Mowgli, we welcome children as explorers.

My two children aged 4 and 2 have settled in perfectly, they really have enjoyed attending. They both come home telling me all about the activities they have done that day. The smooth transition by the staff with settling in days at the nursery put me at ease and now they both attend two full days a week.

Brilliant nursery, my Niece and Nephew absolutely love coming here! Staff are so welcoming and nurturing and they have plenty of activities for the children throughout the day. Would recommend to others looking for a homely, safe setting to send their little ones!
I recently had a look around the nursery with a view to putting my x2 children in with me only working around the corner.
To say how pleasantly surprised i was with there facilities and organisation is a understatement, The children are booked in for the start of July, Im Really looking forward to seeing them develop here.
Such an amazing nursery with great access to the outdoor area. The children are made wonderfully healthy food with caring staff around them. The children even get access into Jungle World playarea, which is a highlight for them all. Would definitely recommend.
